Royal Roads University / Lyackson & Penelakut First Nations, BC (2017 – 2018)

MEP capstone project. Worked with First Nations groups to support marine protection planning initiatives on Vancouver Island.

  • Applied traditional ecological knowledge to assess environmental health in a marine environment
  • Developed a high-level framework for short and long-term marine protection planning
  • Wrote a comprehensive report incorporating insights gained from First Nations community members and traditional ecological knowledge

Spectra Energy / CIMS / Airevac, Fort St. John, BC (2015)

Environmental Inspector for a Spectra turnaround project. Worked directly with the site’s Environmental Manager to proactively mitigate and resolve issues as they arose.

Celista Springs Ranch, BC (2002 – 2014)

Founder/manager of an organic produce farming company.

  • Implemented environmentally sustainable agricultural practices and BCSPCA Farm Certification program guidelines
